Privacy statement

Granfood BV (“Granfood”) acts in accordance with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation and respects the privacy of all its customers, relations, employees and all users of its website. Personal information that you provide to us as well as data obtained from a visit to and use of our website will be treated confidentially by us, our employees and any third parties engaged. Personal data is carefully processed and secured by us. In this privacy statement we explain which (personal) data we collect and use and for what purpose. We recommend that you read it carefully.

GranFood uses the collected personal data for:

Third parties

We can provide your personal data to third parties if this is necessary for the implementation of the purposes described above. We only pass on your personal data to third parties with whom a processing agreement has been concluded. In this agreement we naturally make the necessary arrangements to guarantee the security of your personal data.

In addition, we pass on your personal data if we are obliged to do so on the basis of the law or a court decision. In other cases, we will never provide and/or sell your personal data to third parties without your permission. Your personal data will not be provided to third parties for commercial purposes.

We are familiar with the “Schrems II” judgment (Court of Justice of the EU of 16 July 2020) and the challenges it has created for the transfer of personal data. We are currently investigating how suitable solutions can be found for this. Do you have questions about the processing of your personal data? Please contact us via the contact details in this privacy statement.

Newsletter/promotional material

We offer a newsletter and/or promotional material with which we want to inform interested parties about our products. Your personal data will only be added to our mailing list if you have signed up for the newsletter. Every newsletter contains a link with which you can unsubscribe.

Security

We take careful and appropriate security measures to limit misuse of and unauthorized access to personal data.

Retention period

If there are any questions about our privacy statement, to view, change or delete personal data, we kindly ask you to contact us via our contact form. We will be happy to help you with an answer to your question or with the adjustment of your data.

Use of cookies

We use cookies when offering electronic services. A cookie is a simple small file that is sent along with pages from this website and stored by your browser on the hard drive of your computer. This allows us, among other things, to combine different requests for pages on the website and to analyze user behaviour. You can refuse the use of these cookies, although this may limit the functionality and ease of use of the website. Read more about Granfood’s cookie policy in our cookie statement.

Your rights

When we process your personal data, you have (in certain circumstances) the following rights:

  • Right of access: you have the right to view the personal data that we process about you.
  • Right to rectification: you have the right to correct or supplement the personal data that we process about you if it is incorrect or incomplete.
  • Right to object: you can object to the processing of your personal data and to direct marketing.
  • Right to erasure: you can request us to delete your personal data.
  • Right to data portability: if it is technically possible, you have the right to have the personal data we process about you transferred to a third party.
  • Right to restriction of processing: in some cases you can request to limit the processing of your personal data (temporarily or otherwise), which means that we process less of your data.

In principle, we will comply with your request within 30 days and will in any case keep you informed of the handling of your request.

With your request, we may ask you to identify yourself, so that we do not process data from the wrong person. You can do this by, for example, sending a valid proof of identity.

If you have given us permission to process your personal data, you can withdraw this permission at any time. The withdrawal of your consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing based on the consent before its withdrawal. Finally, you have the right to submit a complaint to the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the supervisory authority in the field of privacy (www.autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).

For questions about our privacy policy or questions about the above rights, you can contact us at any time. If you have any questions about your data or if you want to change it, you can contact us via the contact page on the website.
